The 2023 National Water Conservancy Work Conference was held in Beijing

The National Water Conservancy Work Conference was held in Beijing on the morning of January 16th. The meeting conveyed important instructions from the leaders of the State Council. Li Guoying, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.   We will firmly promote the high-quality development of water conservancy in the new stage, and provide strong water security guarantees for the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country and the comprehensive promotion of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
The meeting read out a notice from the Ministry of Water Resources praising provinces with significant achievements in water conservancy infrastructure construction in 2022. The Department of Planning and Planning, the Department of Policies and Regulations of the Ministry of Water Resources, the Yangtze River Water Resources Commission, the the Pearl River Water Resources Commission, and the Water Resources Departments of Guangdong, Yunnan, Anhui and Hebei made exchange speeches. Vice Minister of Water Resources Tian Xuebin presided over the meeting and delivered a concluding speech. Department leaders Wang Xinzhe, Wang Daoxi, Liu Weiping, and Zhu Chengqing attended the meeting.
